West Bromwich A. Vs Manchester United Result

Sunday, January 2, 2011
The Mexican youngster Javier Hernandez scored the deadlock breaker in the final minutes of the match and allowed his side to remain at the top.

A cold day at The Hawthorns saw Wayne Rooney finally able to score after 1,418 minutes without doing so with his club.

And the Englishman scored as early as the 2nd minute of the match when Patrice Evra managed to get the ball in the midfield and ran upfront where he saw Rooney who was able to head the ball into the net and with nothing to do for Scott Carson.

Luckily for West Bromwich the equaliser was around the block as James Morrison only 10 minutes later scored with a impressive half volley from around the penalty area and went into the top corner of Manchester United’s goal and into the net equalising the match 1-1.

James Morrison goal gave Bromwich hope on scoring another one and they were getting closer and closer on obtaining it and a glimpse of light arrayed past Sir. Alex Ferguson when the referee did not give a clear red card to Gary Neville after tacking down Graeme Dorrans.

Second half of the game and Ferguson decided to make some changes and placed into the pitch Javier Hernandez and Gibson. And this change proved to be the decisive factor as the Mexican was able to get past his marker and head the ball into the net ending the match 2-1.

Man Of The Match: Wayne Rooney. Finally after so many days and matches being invisible he shadowed everybody else in this match scoring in the 2nd minute and providing the assist for the other one.
