Milan Want To Close Out 2010 With A Bang

Tuesday, December 14, 2010
Milan defender Daniele Bonera is hoping the Rossoneri can finish off 2010 in style and defeat Roma this weekend.

The league leaders cruised to a 3-0 victory over Bologna on Sunday, ending the Rossoblu's strong home record.

"It is always good when a team wins, as the fatigue is not felt as much," Bonera affirmed to Milan Channel. "It was not easy to win because Bologna had not lost at home this season, and the victory gives us confidence for our next match against Roma.

"Roma has a strong team, and they have demonstrated they can get a result even if at times, they have not played at their best.

"We want to close out 2010 with a win in front of our fans. We know that there is still a long way to go, but it is important to take each match as it comes."

The 29-year-old is also eager to play against his friend and former team-mate Marco Borriello.

"Seeing Marco once again will be good, as other than being a former team-mate, he is a friend," he concluded.

Milan currently have a six-point lead over Juventus, Napoli and Lazio at the top of the Serie A table.
