Wednesday, December 15, 2010
Anderson has put pen to paper for a four-and-a-half-year deal, it's been reported today. The ex-Porto star is now set to remain at Manchester United until June 2015.Sharing comments about his new contract, the Red Devil player declared:

“This is the best club to be at, and I’d like to thank everyone for the great support I’ve received over the years. I’m looking forward to winning many more trophies with this club, and I’m also pleased to have signed a new contract.”

Meanwhile, Manchester United coach Sir Alex Ferguson added:

“We’re delighted that Anderson has signed a new contract. Anderson has developed tremendously since joining the club, and he has fantastic potential at only 22 years of age. He’s going to be a really top player.”

Anderson scored Manchester United’s last goal in the group stages of this season’s Champions League competition as he helped the Red Devils maintain their unbeaten record in Europe. Since his full knee recovery, Anderson has been remarkably instrumental for Man United this season. A sublime performance against Chelsea this weekend would be a perfect way for the Brazilian midfielder to celebrate his new deal.
